2014年4月24日，高瑜再次被北京警方逮捕，據稱其在2013年8月通過他人(姚監復)獲得了一份中共中央機密文件的複印件後，將內容逐字錄入成電子版保存，隨後將該電子版通過網際網路提供給某境外網站負責人，該網站將文件進行了全文刊登[9]。而據官方媒體報導，高瑜在被捕後「表達了深刻懺悔」[10][11]。
據媒體引用消息人士的話推測，明鏡出版社《明鏡月刊》在2013年8月刊發的《關於當前意識形態領域情況的通報》（9號文件，亦即網上俗稱的「七不講」）即為高瑜所泄露出來的保密文件，此文件發放到市地師級以上幹部。[12][13][14][15]文件中稱，要「確保新聞媒體的領導權，始終掌握在同以習近平同志為總書記的黨中央保持一致的人手中」。
實際上，註明「發至地師級」的機密文件，在中國大陸政府網站上經常公開發布[16][17]。而作為事件當事人的明鏡新聞網編輯部負責人則稱，中共的指控和海外媒體的相關報導都不符合事實，事實上是早在2013年6月前，明鏡就已獲得了這份文件，而且來自中共中央宣傳系統高層。「五月份，一名顯然是習近平的支持者、來自中共中央宣傳系統的髙層人物接觸了明鏡新聞網」、「這名人士向明鏡新聞網提供了《九號文件》內容，這份名為《中共中央辦公廳印發〈關於當前意識形態領域情況的通報〉的通知》的文本上並沒有註明密級，也沒有註明發送範圍。」[18]
高瑜案於2014年11月21日在不公開的情況下開審，高瑜在庭上對公訴機關的指控予以否認，稱沒有非法向境外泄露國家秘密文件的行為，法庭當天沒有宣判。2014年11月24日，一定程度代表官方意見的環球時報社評表示，高瑜洩露的是中共中央對意識形態部署的機密，[19][20]與《九號文件》相符。2015年4月17日, 據北京三中院官方微博稱，高瑜因「為境外非法提供國家機密罪」, 被判處有期徒刑七年, 剝奪政治權利一年[21]。國際特赦組織表示，71歲高齡的高瑜被判監，表明中國當局明目張胆打壓言論自由。「無國界記者」發表聲明呼籲中國當局立即釋放高瑜，並撤銷所有控罪。香港市民支援愛國民主運動聯合會星期一下午1點發起抗議活動，前往中聯辦要求立即釋放高瑜[22]。美國國務院發言人「呼籲中國當局立刻釋放高瑜，並尊重中國在國際上的人權承諾。」[23]
一審判決下達後，高瑜稱不服判決，已正式提出上訴。[24][25]2015年11月26日，北京市高級人民法院在二審中將一審判決的7年刑期改為5年，剝奪其政治權利的年限仍是一年；經高瑜本人申請，根據醫院證明文件，因高瑜患有嚴重疾病，法院決定對高瑜准予監外執行[5]。2016年北京「兩會」期間，高瑜被當局帶離北京，前往雲南省旅遊，期間與自由作家徐暉和北京異見人士王荔蕻見了面。

意識和潛意識
我先前說過
意識和潛意識之間
是一個辯證
意識越發達
潛意識就越發達
前者像是逐日的夸父
跑得越快
地平線後退越快
太陽下山後
疲倦的夸父
坐下來沉思
我為什麼要逐日
這時潛意識誕生了
意思是說潛意識
發生在意識和黑夜的地平線之間的停頓
而辯證的意思是說
意識尚未力竭
潛意識就尚未誕生
意思是說它的誕生
是力竭後的意外
你勉強不得
會想到以上
是因為Life 3.0的世界
當AI發展完成
能夠自己生成創造
人類已經變成多餘的時候
它將超越人的意識 (多麼不完美的意識)
那時人不須逐日
也將失去潛意識
至於AI會不會有一天
也會有它的潛意識
誕生

This book contains a series of essays that explore the concept of unconsciousness as it is situated between phenomenology and psychoanalysis. A leading goal of the collection is to carve out phenomenological dimensions within psychoanalysis and, equally, to carve out psychoanalytical dimensions within phenomenology. The book examines the nature of unconsciousness and the role it plays in structuring our sense of self. It also looks at the extent to which the unconscious marks the body as it functions outside of experience as well as manifests itself in experience. In addition, the book explores the relationship between unconsciousness and language, particularly if unconsciousness exists prior to language or if the concept can only be understood through speech. The collection includes contributions from leading scholars, each of whom grounds their investigations in a nuanced mastery of the traditional voices of their fields. These contributors provide diverse viewpoints that challenge both the phenomenological and psychoanalytical traditions in their relation to unconsciousness. (amazon)
