In James Heisig's Philosophers of Nothingness Nishitani is quoted as saying "The fundamental problem of my life … has always been, to put it simply, the overcoming of nihilism through nihilism."

6.      Because Metaphysics has in one way or another sought to banish or ignore this unaccountable source of man and Being, Heidegger follows Nietzsche in identifying the history of metaphysics as nihilism. (Martin Heidegger: Basic Writings, 1977, p. 103)

命題 (Daseinsanalysis)

The Gesamtausgabe is divided into four series:
I. Published writings, 1910–1976
II. Lecture courses, 1919–1944
  • Marburg lecture courses, 1923–1928
  • Freiburg lecture courses, 1928–1944
  • Early Freiburg lecture courses, 1919–1923
III. Unpublished material, lectures, and notes
IV. Notes and recordings

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heidegger_Gesamtausgabe

只有較短的系列演講或seminar(比如說 Zollikon seminar)或散篇文章

Heidegger's Hidden Sources: East-Asian Influences on his Work (Reinhard May, Routledge, 1996)

Heidegger's Hidden Sources documents for the first time Heidegger's remarkable debt to East Asian philosophy. In this groundbreaking study, Reinhard May shows conclusively that Martin Heidegger borrowed some of the major ideas of his philosophy - on occasion almost word for word - from German translations of Chinese Daoist and Zen Buddhist classics.

The discovery of this astonishing appropriation of non-Western sources will have important consequences for future interpretations of Heidegger's work. Moreover, it shows Heidegger as a pioneer of comparative philosophy and transcultural thinking. (amazon)

Heidegger and Eastern thought[edit]

Some writers on Heidegger's work see possibilities within it for dialogue with traditions of thought outside of Western philosophy, particularly East Asian thinking.[citation needed] Despite perceived differences between Eastern and Western philosophy, some of Heidegger's later work, particularly "A Dialogue on Language between a Japanese and an Inquirer", does show an interest in initiating such a dialogue.[108] Heidegger himself had contact with a number of leading Japanese intellectuals, including members of the Kyoto School, notably Hajime Tanabe and Kuki Shūzō. Reinhard May refers to Chang Chung-Yuan who stated "Heidegger is the only Western Philosopher who not only intellectually understands Tao, but has intuitively experienced the essence of it as well."[109] May sees great influence of Taoism and Japanese scholars in Heidegger's work, although this influence is not acknowledged by the author. He asserts: "The investigation concludes that Heidegger’s work was significantly influenced by East Asian sources. It can be shown, moreover, that in particular instances Heidegger even appropriated wholesale and almost verbatim major ideas from the German translations of Daoist and Zen Buddhist classics.[citation needed] This clandestine textual appropriation of non-Western spirituality, the extent of which has gone undiscovered for so long, seems quite unparalleled, with far-reaching implications for our future interpretation of Heidegger’s work."[110]

Heidegger and Asian philosophy[edit]

Chinese and Buddhist Philosophy in early Twentieth-Century German Thought (Eric S. Nelson, Bloomsbury Academic, 2017)

Presenting a comprehensive portrayal of the reading of Chinese and Buddhist philosophy in early twentieth-century German thought, Chinese and Buddhist Philosophy in early Twentieth-Century German Thought examines the implications of these readings for contemporary issues in comparative and intercultural philosophy.
Through a series of case studies from the late 19th-century and early 20th-century, Eric Nelson focuses on the reception and uses of Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism in German philosophy, covering figures as diverse as Buber, Heidegger, and Misch. He argues that the growing intertextuality between traditions cannot be appropriately interpreted through notions of exclusive identities, closed horizons, or unitary traditions. Providing an account of the context, motivations, and hermeneutical strategies of early twentieth-century European thinkers' interpretation of Asian philosophy, Nelson also throws new light on the question of the relation between Heidegger and Asian philosophy. Reflecting the growing interest in the possibility of intercultural and global philosophy, Chinese and Buddhist Philosophy in early Twentieth-Century German Thought opens up the possibility of a more inclusive intercultural conception of philosophy. Q (Daseinsanalysis)

Is it possible that the clinical theory of relational psychoanalysis corresponds to ereignis, i.e. the event of appropriation, since they emphasize the primacy of (mutual) enactment, and believe that only via the enactments coming alive can we learn something that really matters ?

The above question can be reiterated for the intersubjective theory, in a milder way, however.

And the above question is, put in another way, "does relationship precede interpretation ?"

Daseinsanalysis

5:53 PM (Daseinsanalysis)

As William J. Richardson pointed out over fifty years ago, Heidegger’s lecture “On the Essence of Truth,” delivered in December of 1930 but not published until 1943, is the “decisive point” in Heidegger’s development and constitutes the “breakthrough” in which “Heidegger I becomes Heidegger II.”

That breakthrough consisted in Heidegger’s insight into the intrinsic hiddenness of the appropriated clearing.(Thomas Sheehan, 2015, pp. 223-224)

With Heidegger’s lecture “On the Essence of Truth” the door opens on to the later Heidegger. By December of 1930 he had the wherewithal to begin working out what he had projected for SZ I.3 but had been unable to finish. He could now take up “the thing itself” outside the Procrustean bed of transcendentalism. It would take him a few more years to settle into the new approach that would shape his work for the next four decades, but at last the way was clear.(ibid., p. 228)

The Oxford Handbook of Japanese Philosophy (ed. Bret W. Davis, Oxford University Press, 2019-9-16)

Japanese philosophy is now a flourishing field with thriving societies, journals, and conferences dedicated to it around the world, made possible by an ever-increasing library of translations, books, and articles. The Oxford Handbook of Japanese Philosophy is a foundation-laying reference work that covers, in detail and depth, the entire span of this philosophical tradition, from ancient times to the present. It introduces and examines the most important topics, figures, schools, and texts from the history of philosophical thinking in premodern and modern Japan. Each chapter, written by a leading scholar in the field, clearly elucidates and critically engages with its topic in a manner that demonstrates its contemporary philosophical relevance.

The Handbook opens with an extensive introductory chapter that addresses the multifaceted question, "What is Japanese Philosophy?" The first fourteen chapters cover the premodern history of Japanese philosophy, with sections dedicated to Shinto and the Synthetic Nature of Japanese Philosophical Thought, Philosophies of Japanese Buddhism, and Philosophies of Japanese Confucianism and Bushido. Next, seventeen chapters are devoted to Modern Japanese Philosophies. After a chapter on the initial encounter with and appropriation of Western philosophy in the late nineteenth-century, this large section is divided into one subsection on the most well-known group of twentieth-century Japanese philosophers, The Kyoto School, and a second subsection on the no less significant array of Other Modern Japanese Philosophies. Rounding out the volume is a section on Pervasive Topics in Japanese Philosophical Thought, which covers areas such as philosophy of language, philosophy of nature, ethics, and aesthetics, spanning a range of schools and time periods. This volume will be an invaluable resource specifically to students and scholars of Japanese philosophy, as well as more generally to those interested in Asian and comparative philosophy and East Asian studies.
